SI: What are the gadgets you can't live without when you travel?

SI: What's one tip you can share for people who travel a lot?
Chris Cooley: The hotel will do anything you want. They'll do anything you ask. You just have to ask.

SI:What's your least favorite way to travel?
Chris Cooley:I hate airplanes. I hate turbulence. It scares the s--- out of me. I'm a [wimp] when it comes to that.

SI:Do you care where you sit on a plane?
Chris Cooley:I almost always have to sit in the window seat. It bugs me if I can't look out.

SI:What's your least favorite city to visit?
Chris Cooley:Philly. I really don't like Philly. I got a cheesesteak the first time I went there, but other than that, there's just nothing exciting about Philly.

SI:What's your favorite sports venue to visit as a fan or player?
Chris Cooley:I haven't been to very many. But I'm gonna go with the Verizon Center for Capitals games.

SI:What's your favorite place to eat on the road?
Chris Cooley:Any Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. I love Ruth's Chris.

SI:What's your craziest/best travel story?
Chris Cooley:We were playing in Denver during my second season and I was trying to fit in with all the guys. Cory Raymer had an entire backpack full of mini bottles of Jack Daniels. So we got into a drinking contest on the bus. The next day I found 13 or 14 of those bottles, empty, in my bag. And this was just on the bus to the airport after a game. Before we even took off, I'm conducting the pre-flight announcements. Twenty minutes into the plane ride I'm on the floor in the aisle eating out of an applesauce container. Needless to say, I had a visit with the head coach the next morning.

SI:Which city has the most rabid fans?
Chris Cooley:Philly. We got eggs thrown at our bus when we came into town last season.

SI:What's the first thing you do when you get home from a trip?
Chris Cooley:Last year, I would watch Entourage, Californication and Dexter. It was the Showtime/HBO night, so I'd TiVo those shows and I always looked forward to watching them when I got home. I can never sleep when I get home from a trip.

SI:What's your favorite mini–bar item?
Chris Cooley:I guess beer. The truth is we don't really need to use the mini-bar. Everything is usually provided for us.

I have two great matchups every year with DeMarcus Ware, he's an outstanding player. He has the ability to do so many different things, he's good against the run, pass and can do it all. Fred Davis came in this offseason knowing what it takes to be a pro football player. He's working very hard in the weight room and definitely understand the offense better.

Gibbs' motto was: smart, tough, hard-nosed guys. And that's the way he ran practice. We had a quick tempo, but it was extremely physical.

No questions asked, we'll have a better offense. It's a hard transition, even for a guy like me to make, to make adjustments to a new offense. It was even more difficult for a quarterback. We'll all be much better the second time around.

Because it was so boldly discussed in the media, didn't mean that was exactly the team's intentions. Obviously there were talks and Jason was very disappointed in that, but he's definitely our guy now. He came back and showed great leadership in minicamp and is ready to have an outstanding season.

What do you think about the NFL's proposal to cut off to preseason games and to make the regular season 18 games long?

I think it's a tough proposal. And I have to say I'm kind of two-sided on it. No one likes preseason and other than watching young players, there's not a lot of relevance to the games. But on the other hand it's tough making it all the way through the season without injuries or fatigue. So, the extra two games may be hard. All that said, if they are going to pay us accordingly for the two games, I'd rather play the two season games and get out of training camp early.

Chris, Do you play fantasy football, and do you think it is bad for the game the way some purists do? There's nothing about fantasy football that's bad for the game. It makes fans that much more interested in what's going on. Honestly, no players really care about it, hardly anyone plays. The guys that do it, enjoy it, but it's not that big a deal. I check out the ratings every year, but I think it's cool this year, they are going to update it every week, based on the way the player performs in the actual games. I quit playing Madden when I got beat by a nine-year old kid online.

We were playing St. Louis in 2006. I was goofing around in the locker room with a couple of buddies. It was when Gibbs was the coach and before the game, he used to elect captains by writing their name on a white board. This particular game was the first time I had been picked as a captain. Also, there was no reason behind his captain selections, I think it was just the first three names that popped into his head. I was bet that I wouldn't go onto the field and introduce myself to all the Rams captains as Captain Chaos. I had to walk up to Orlando Pace, Marc Bulger and Torry Holt and introduce myself as Captain Chaos. They looked at me like I was crazy.

I've done a ton of stuff lately. I started a huge education program, where I've donated over $300,000 to schools and scholarships. I've done a bunch of breast cancer stuff, which has been great. We've also done a lot of reading events for kids. As far as helping out, take advantage of opportunities in your own community.

20 Questions Part 2

1. You are being executed tomorrow, what's your last meal?

I would go to Resturante Bonaroti in Vienna.  It doesn't even matter what I order, I would just have Sergio (the owner) bring the works and I would eat till I die.   

2. What's your favorite movie made by those early 90's SNL guys?

Tommy Boy is a classic.

3. What are your plans (realistically) after you retire from the playing?

I would like to take a couple years and just hang out, I think that would be awesome. I want to have a kid and I think it would be great to be able to be home all the time with my family. Besides that, I've always wanted to be a high school wrestling coach. Wrestling was always a favorite sport of mine and I remember how great it was spending time with the team. So that is something I can see myself doing.

4. In the off season do you enjoy staying in the Washington DC area, or do you want to get out of town for a month or two? Where do you go?

I live in Leesburg VA.  I think everyone saw our house on the news.  I love Virginia and really anywhere else around D.C.  The people are great here and I have no reason to live anywhere else.  We do take a vacation every off season but the only one I want to make a tradition is Hawaii. 

5. What is the weirdest or coolest dream you've ever had?

I think I had the craziest dream of my life last week in the hotel before we played the Giants.  I was going house shopping with my dad and we walked into a giant house in a quiet neighborhood.  When we went inside, all the walls had been ripped out and there was a rock band building a enormous stage for a concert.  Under the wood part of the stage they were putting down a six inch foundation of cooked sausage.  The funny thing was that they couldn't get the wood to stay together on top of the sausage.  At one point they had to rip down all the work they had done and start over.  After the stage fell apart they assigned me over a giant machine that was making pigs into ground sausage.  After I ground it up, it went along a conveyor belt where my dad was cooking it.  Then I woke up, weird.  

6. What TV show or movie would you be ashamed to admit you like?

I'm not ashamed of this, but I've seen every season of One Tree Hill. You gotta love Lucas Scott and Peyton Sawyer.  

7. If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be?

For one year I would like to live like Chris McCandless in America.  I know it sounds crazy, but to just respect the beauty of our country with nothing in your pocket would be amazing. Adventure is the very basic core of man's spirit.  I'm not saying I would give away all my savings like he did, but his adventure was amazing.  

8. For a million dollars would you be willing to not have sex for a year (this is with or without a partner)? (If no, how about 10 million)?

I would have to turn down a million for the no sex thing (Christy would be pissed).  Offer me ten million and Fred Davis might have a new job.

9. If you had a son would you let him be a dancer or cheerleader?

If I have a son I will support whatever he wants to do.  I'm not gonna pretend that I'm ready to spend my Saturdays at dancing competitions, but you have to accept life as it comes. 

10. Where did you and Christy go on your first date? 

Christy and I went to the Fair Oaks Mall for our first "real date."  

11. Chris: I'm a firm believer that you can tell a lot about someone based on what they get on their burrito. Sooo, what is your favorite Chipotle creation?

I'm more of an Anita's guy myself and you can never go wrong with a Hollenback. 

12. What do you do with Christy on dates? I say you do the same as I and every other guy.

I'm sure Christy and I go on exactly the same type of dates as anyone else.  Dinner is very popular, we usually plan for a movie, but get too tired.  We hang out at the house a lot.  The one thing we do probably more than most is spend A LOT of time traveling in the off season. 

13. If Mike DItka and God got in a fight, who would win?

Seriously, God would win. Chuck Norris on the other hand...

14. If you were a porn star what would your porn name be?

The porn star name rules are as applies: Your first dogs name is your first name and the street you grew up on is your last.  Mine is Ryder Lane. 

15. What is the best locker room prank you have ever witnessed in your entire career as a football player?

Every year in college we played at least one good prank on a senior that was on his way out. We would wait until the last week of practice (no chance for retaliation).  My junior year was by far the most elaborate. The target, a 6'10" offensive lineman named Jim Newton.  His locker was right next to me and it took me three weeks to scope out is locker combination.  When I secured to combo the plan was on.  In Logan we had this great carp fishing spot.  A canal would get shut off in the winter and we could walk to the end of the canal were the last of the water would back up.  As well as the water backing up, all the fish would get stuck and you could just go in with big hooks and snag them.  So we took a couple coolers full of water and caught a bunch of carp and catfish, kept them alive and headed back to the locker room.  When we got to Jim's locker I opened it up and we went to work.  The bottom half of the locker was like a box on the ground for shoes. We took out all the shoes and lined it with black plastic and then filled it up with water, emptying all the live as well creating an amazing live fish tank in the locker. Needless to say, Jim was mad. 

16. What was your favorite Saturday morning cartoon growing up?

My favorite cartoon growing up was always Scooby Doo.  I would watch the shit out of that show.  My mom used to buy the Nila Wafers and when Scooby came on she brought them in with milk and said they were Scooby Snacks.  

17. How cool is it to be an upper echelon player in the NFL?

As a kid I always dreamed about playing in the NFL.  As I got older it became less likely.  I started high-school at 130 pounds and played back up receiver.  I didn't start on my varsity team until I was a senior and when the year began I was supposed to split series at tight end with a junior.  That quickly ended and I had a pretty awesome senior season.  Utah State University in Logan UT. was my only division 1 scholarship offer and I took it.  I don't know if anyone has noticed, but the Aggies don't just turn out NFL draft picks.  I wasn't a starter until my senior season and just like in high school, I ended up having an awesome senior season.  Joe Gibbs drafted me and there was no waiting to be the starter.  Something I will always remember was my best friend Kris calling me a night before we played the Eagles and telling me I was going to be the best tight end in the NFL.  It's not like Kris was Mel Kiper, but it meant so much to me and is something I will never forget.  Now, after all that said and I think it needed to be said for this answer, it's a dream. It's a dream, and it's amazing to be where I am and I have never took it for granted.  

18. How do professional athletes get paid? Do you pick up your game check every week? Is it a direct deposit?

I have no problem discussing the pay thing as a NFL player.  If you want to know how much I or any of my friends make google will give you a pretty good idea in about 30 seconds.  In my recent contract I got paid my signing bonus over three years, the last part being this April.  I get paid my season salary every year over the 17 weeks that we play football.  Every other Friday I pick up a check from Redskins park and I take it to the bank and fill out a deposit form. All the guys do the same thing.  

19. Whats your handicap and do you use hybrids?

My handicap varies throughout the year.   My golf season usually begins sometime in March when the weather warms up.  I don't play unless it's 50 or warmer, golfs no fun in the cold. Anyway, when I start early in the year I'm around a 12.  As the summer goes on I get much more consistent and by July I never shoot much worse than an 80.  I think I could be a great golfer when I get done with football, but when training camp starts I have to quit playing.  

20. Does it irritate players when a fan refers to his favorite team as "we"

"We" are the fan's team.  That's why we are here playing football.  I think it's great to have loyal fans that feel like we are their team.  The only time guys get tired of the "we" thing is when fans tell us what we should and shouldn't be doing on the field.  There is a reason that fans are fans. My job is to play tight end and yours is to cheer loud.  To be the best "we" all gotta play our roles.

21. I heard Chris Carter say, "...over 50% of all players carry handguns." Do you own or carry handguns? Do you believe that over 50% of your peers are gun toting thug wannabies with above the law attitudes? Do you go anywhere that makes you think you need to have a gun with you?

Chris Carter is exaggerating for effect.  There is no where near 50% of players that carry handguns.  I don't even own a handgun.  I do own a shotgun, one that I bought at Kmart when I was 15 years old...for pheasant hunting, but I don't think it'll fit in my waist band. Seriously though, I don't know any of my teammates that tote a handgun anywhere.  I guess they could, but if it was more than a couple guys I would be aware of it.  50% is crazy! I think it's a reach to think of more than three or four on a team that really would carry around a gun.  Finally, there is nowhere I have ever been that I wished I had a handgun.  I know the streets of Leesburg can get pretty rough, but I'm still making it.

20 Questions

So I went to Redskins park today and tried with all I had to come up with something and I couldn't. Chris and I brainstormed for nearly 30 minutes and we had nothing. So we thought it would be a good time for 20 questions to make a comeback. We want to know what you guys want to hear about and also give you a chance to ask whatever is on your mind to Chris and anyone else on the team. This doesn't mean that he (or whoever question is directed to) will answer but we will pick out 20 of our favorites. 20 Questions - Nicknames

I know, I know, the 20 questions from everyone got a little bit neglected, but they haven't been forgotten. One of my responses was to the nicknames post. When I first looked at the question I could only figure a couple of the guys that had real nicknames, although after walking around the locker room pre-practice I was amazed at how many guys actually get called by a nickname. I realize that some of the nicknames are no brainers, but I wanted to give a pretty honest look at who gets called what. Of course I didn't list anyone who goes primarily by a first or last name. I also excluded any media or fan nicknames; yea believe it or not none of my teammates call me "Captain Chaos," and no one calls CP "Southeast Jerome." Really, that would just be some stupid shit.

20 Questions Colt Brennan and Boozie

Picking out questions asked by everyone on this blog has got to be my favorite part of the website experiment. This time was as good as any and thank everyone who was creative in their questions. We received so many great questions for all kinds of different players so I feel like I need to break up the answer blogs into different sections.

Colt Brennan or as we call him McGarrett (the lead detective from Hawaii five -0) was very popular as far as questions go and after his great performance is generating even more interest, so we will start with McGarrett. I spent about 15 minutes with the couple of rookies in their room Saturday night before the game to ask them some of the questions. Enjoy. 10 questions with Jason Campbell

1. With Clinton Portis suffering from MPD back in '05 (Southeast Jerome, Sheriff Gonnagetcha, etc.) and #47 being known as Johnny Whiteguy and Captain Chaos, what nickname/personality would you adopt for yourself that you would like to stick with the fans? Southeast Jerome gets to arrest a lot of people. I would get to arrest Captain Chaos for causing a lot of problems around the Redskins Park.

2. With the game on the line, if you could throw to any receiver, past or present, high school, college or pro, who would that receiver be and why? I love all my Redskin receivers, but I would have to go to someone in the past. I haven't actually thrown to him, but I would love to take Jerry Rice. Currently I would have to go with the man in the middle. He tortures linebackers. On the inside he manhandles them one on one. Cool dog is a sledgehammer.

3. Jason, have you ever smelled the back of your left hand (the one that's securely lodged under the center's sweaty butt crack the entire game) after a game? I would imagine that hand would have to go through a thorough decontamination process after every game and practice. For everyone to know if you don’t take a bath your butt crack stinks and I think that's what Rabach does to me. Imagine sweating for 2 hours and you're Casey Rabach and you're really hairy and stinky. Rabach has even farted on my hand which is a feelin that never really wears off. I can actually feel it while we’re doing this interview right now. After each practice and game the first thing I do is wash my hands of all that chaotic stuff running off his sweaty, nasty body.

4. Would you ever wear the Cooley Short-Shorts? And if you did, who do you think would look better in them? I think I would look great in the 75' Ridells. They would defiantly cut off the circulation and I'd want the medics to be near by. I do think my legs would look the best on the team though, way better than Cooley's.

5. What would it look like if you and Tony Romo got into a fight? I have to say it would look like, I would be the hulk standing 6'5" and Romo would be like Spiderman, jumping around all over the place. I'm really not worried about getting into a fight with Romo. I think Jessica Simpson and the Cowboy fans are enough for him to handle.

6. Jason, how did you meet your present girlfriend Mercedes Lindsay? First of all she might of stalked me, but on the real tilt I met her downtown DC 5 or 6 times and she wouldn't go out with me because she said I was like any typical athlete. She finally did go out with me and since then we've been inseparable.

7. Your senior year at Auburn I was convinced you were Lionel Richie's son. That being said, what's your favorite Lionel Richie song to karaoke to? Lionel Richie has come up a lot this year and if I could sing and make as much money as him I would defiantly do that. My favorite song would come from a line we hear from Santana Moss on game day, "All night long, All night long!"

8. How much do you hate Alabama and what is it like having Samuels blocking for you? Do you guys get after each other when the Iron Bowl is played? War Eagle. I have nothing bad to say about Alabama anymore, because I was undefeated against them. So there is nothing better than having Chris Samuels blocking my left side. I consider it an Alabama guy showing his support for an Auburn guy. I just expect Auburn to take over every time we play so we really don't have to get after each other.

9. JC, can you get me a date w/Colt Brennen? I guess all the girls think he's from Hawaii, and they want something new. He's really just another LA guy, but I guess we could start off the bidding with 100 dollars a date, payable to Cooley's site. Hahaha, just kidding.

10. What food was better Cooley's wedding or Randy Thomas' back yard BBQ? It's two different occasions and the food at Cooley's wedding was amazing. I'm a southern guy though and Randy cooks baby back ribs. I would take ribs any day.

Ask a Redskin

The Q and A portion of this blog has been amazing. I have loved reading and answering everyone's questions but it is however, time to branch out and give you the opportunity to ask another Redskin his opinion. This time it is Jason Campbell's turn. We have an autograph signing together this Saturday at PSGameGear in the Dulles Town Center Mall from 1-3. We will discuss all the questions there. So here's how this will work:

Draft Day Q and A

Thanks again for all the great questions. I think I have more fun reading what everyone has to ask me than anyone else does reading my responses. It was pretty hard, but I picked ten of the questions to answer. I tried to stick with the draft type of questions.

1. Who was the first Redskin that befriended me after I was drafted and where did we have a beer at?
The first player I was really friends with was Brian Kozlowski and I guess he was as new to the team as me. We actually became great friends and drank at a lot of bars together. A couple of the first guys that had previously been on the Redskins to talk to me were LaVar Arrington and Patrick Ramsey. After my first day of practice Lavar came up to me and told me I was going to be a great football player. Obviously I was excited.

2. A new draftee just signed their first check. Where do they go?
I think the first thing most guys buy is a new car. It's amazing to me how much young players will spend on automobiles. Bling is another popular item. I bought a Volvo. I guess my check first wasn't that bad ass. Something no one understands about the NFL is that if a players signs a 10 million dollar deal the most he could hope to see is half of that. Teams pay out the money in portions. Say a player's signing bonus is 5 million. It will take at least three years for him to collect that money. It's guaranteed, but it's never all at once. Speaking for myself, taxes take close to 50 percent of my gross salary. Pretty shitty huh?

3. Fred Davis?
I think no more be said in the question. I was as surprised as anyone that the Redskins drafted a tight end this year. We saw Fred Davis as a first round player that had fallen way down into the second round. The Redskins felt like it was way to much value to pass on. As a player I feel like you can never discount having the best 11 guys on the field, so if two tight ends makes up the best 11 guys I'm all for it. I will do everything I can to help Fred become the best football player for the Redskins and I think he will do a great job. All that being said, I feel like the next five years should be Pro Bowl years for me and I would be extremely surprised if my production on the field goes down at all.

4. The Redskins obviously neglected the offensive and defensive line issues. Who will protect Jason Campbell?
It's really hard to expect anything going into a draft. Obviously we needed to add some depth to the lines and we are starting to do that. We did draft a guard who we feel can make an impact for us. We were looking at a defensive lineman in the first round, but didn't feel his value was high enough at the 21st spot. If you need a lineman but no one you like is close to your pick for that value, than you have to take someone else. As far as protecting Jason we have a couple guys coming back healthy (Jon Janson and Randy Thomas). I'm well aware that both have had injury issues, but you never assume great players on your team are going to be injured. We will keep adding depth, but we will be fine.

5. If I was to build my own draft guru what would his or her characteristics be?
I would take Mel Kiper's arrogant, know it all personality and put it into some really hot chick. The girl from the movie Transformers would be great. I would watch the draft all day. Really though, I think it would be hard to imagine any other draft guru besides Kiper.

6. A Punter?
I know really. A punter? Hopefully he can kick the shit out of the ball. I mean he did win the Ray Guy award.

7. Do I have any chance to voice my opinions in the draft?
Players are completely left in the dark when it comes to the draft. Other than showing up for practice and playing we have no voice in the organization. What do teams really care though? We could be gone in a day.

8. What is the weirdest thing you have read about yourself in draft profiles?
The funniest thing I think about the draft profiles is how much people actually make stuff up. When I was a rookie people said that I would be a good blocker and possession type receiver. That my downfall is I could never stretch the field. My current profile says that I'm a bad blocker, but I can catch the ball down field. No one knows what type of player someone can really become.

9. What was the funniest thing I have seen done to a rookie?
My first year in the NFL I watched some of the offensive lineman get a guy really good. First of all, it was a real fight for this to ever happen and if I was ever getting hazed I would just go with it. That said, it's a lot more fun for the "hazers" if they know the person getting hazed hates it. They taped up another rookie and rubbed Icy Hot all over his body. Someone even got a glove and rubbed it in his crack. After the Icy Hot they threw him in the ice tub. One of our trainers got him out after about 20 minutes. That would have really sucked.

10. What is more likely, Chris Cooley getting dreadlocks or Colt Brennon getting a fro.
I didn't know Colt Brennon had dreadlocks, but I can't stand dreadlocks. They're dirty, they stink and I think they look stupid. I thought the white man afro was awesome. I wish my hair would grow faster so I could have it back. I would recommend that look to anyone.

20 Questions!

Thanks to everyone for all the great questions. Its been a lot of fun reading everything people care about. Creative comments are great to check out. So I'm gonna answer 20 of the questions. Some of them were picked by my mom and some were picked by my fiance (Christy). I had picked most of them. Thanks again!

1. If there was a "Name That Tune" game, would you rather be on that than "Deal or No Deal"? I think there really is some kind of Name That Tune game, and I think I would be awesome at it. I know that I am the champion of Name That Tune. (At least in my own car,when I control the radio). Deal or No deal would be really hard to pass up. How could I not be excited about all the case girls.

2. Last year I explained how Rocky McIntosh would be a beast. Who do I think will have a break out season for the Redskins? Of course being around the team year round I see a lot of things that no one else does. Down to the details of who works the hardest in the weight room. That said, it can still be a guess to who has a breakout year. Laron Landry will have a great season for us in his second year, but I think everyone expects that. The player that will surprise a lot of people is Reed Doughty. He is extremely smart as well as a very hard working player.

3. If I wasn't playing in the NFL what sport would I play or what profession would I choose?
Given a choice of sport, baseball would be so much fun. Plus baseball players laugh at some of our salaries, and everything they make is guaranteed. Realistically I would have finished college with an art education degree. I always thought being a high school art teacher would be really cool. I wanted to be a coach as well. I love all sports and will always be around them.

4. What is my favorite comedy film of all time?
Tommy Boy or Dumb and Dumber. Both Classics. I also could watch Caddy Shack 1000 times. None of them ever get old.

5. How much do you hate playing at FedEx. Could you convince "the Danny" to build a new stadium on the old RFK site? I actually love playing at FedEx. In my four years in the NFL, know that it is in the top three stadiums I've been in as far as atmosphere and excitement. As far as Dan Snyder, I don't think my input means much. I have heard rumors about a new stadium in the next ten years with a retractable roof. (RUMORS) It would have been awesome to play in RFK. Guess I just can't make the comparison.

6. There were a couple of questions about the rookies and pranks, so I'll give you a couple things that made me laugh. My favorite prank actually happened my rookie year. The older guys taped a guy up and rubbed Icy Hot all over his body and put him in the ice tub. The ice tub is really cold, but i can't imagine it with Icy Hot all over my body. It's pretty common to make a rookie buy dinner for all the guys. (Average bill ranges from 2 to 6 thousand) Breakfast sandwiches every Friday is popular. In college we used to catch fish in put them in lockers. All the lockers have a bottom holder for shoes that is covered by a bench. The bench will lift up and down to cover the bottom part. For my favorite all time prank we lined the bottom box with garbage bags and filled it full of water. Me and a couple guys caught about 10 carp and managed to keep them all alive, creating the "locker room fish tank". It has to be in the top five most original pranks of all time.

7. Who would win in a tag team match between Chris and Christy and Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson? The tag team match would start off with Christy and Jessica in the ring. Someone would come out of the stands with a cooler of beer and a couple of stools for Tony and I. We would proceed to sit ringside and high-five while clothes were furiously ripped off. In my world the match would end in Jes tapping out to a vicious choke hold, and I wouldn't be surprised if Christy dropped an elbow on her before she poured beer all over herself to celebrate.

8. How much do I throw myself the ball in a Madden game and do I get ridiculous yards. As well as what do I think is my greatest achievement so far? In an average game of Madden when I play with the Redskins Chris Cooley will have 10 to 15 catches and always over 100 yards. If a tight end can ever win the MVP it's Chris Cooley at the end of my season. When I'm playing I always refer to myself as Chris Cooley. Sounds dumb, but it makes it fun. As far as a greatest achievement, I would have to say the Pro Bowl. That was a huge honor for me. To be selected as the best in their sport is what any athlete would hope for.

9. How would I describe "Cache Valley" (this is where I went to high school as well as college) to someone who has never been there? Think of the movie "Napoleon Dynamite". Yes, that's pretty much what it was like. Cache Vally was a really fun place if you could find some outdoor activities. Skiing was big. I love to fly fish. Bridge jumping was always a good choice, but we really had a pretty fun time. Think zero nightlife. Zero!

10. What advice would I give to someone younger than me to find happiness? I try to never worry what people think about me. I kind of do whatever I want to do. Of course there are boundaries, but I try to stay away from anything or anyone that won't make me happy. Let all the little things go cause most don't really matter.

11. Favorite Drink? (Beer, wine, or liquor) Favorite drink definitely depends on the situation. I love almost all kinds of beer. If I was just gonna pick, it would be Bud Light. Christy and I drink wine at dinner most nights, and I love it. Red rather than white. My first couple years in DC people would always want to buy me drinks, and I would try to be cool and always ordered Jack Daniels. No more of that! I pretty much stick with beer.

12. What made me dress up as Johnny White Guy? Clinton had been dressing up as all his characters all season and finally toward the end of the year he asked some of us to be in the skit. He had all the old costumes in his locker, and we pretty much put on whatever we wanted. I tried to look as stupid as possible and was successful. As far as the name, Clinton said we could be whoever we wanted and since I was the only white guy in the group I chose "Johnny White Guy". Very fitting.

13. How short are your shorts going to be at training camp this season? If anyone remembers the old "Bike" coaching shorts from the 70's and 80's, I got a couple pairs from our equipment manager. They're actually really comfortable. They have an elastic waist and are made of some kind of material that doesn't get too wet when I get all sweaty during training camp. Plus I hate it when shorts come over my knees when I'm working out. I don't know why I'm always different, I'm not really trying to be, but I usually am. Weird.

14. Among retired players who is my favorite redskin? Is there any part of my game I would like to improve? Christy is really trying to say Darrell Green. She loves 28. I really don't have a favorite, but I've gotten pretty close to a lot of the guys from the 80's. That would have been so cool to have been a part of that team. I really think I would have fit in with those guys. I would have been all over beers after practice.

15. Are you offended or honored that I named my dog after you? Seems like tons of people are naming their dog after me. I think its awesome. I wanted to name my new dog Boscetti, but Christy threw in the veto. We named it Dale Earnhardt Jr. I tried to call him by his full name but it only lasted for a week. I'm disappointed in myself for that.

16. How hard is it to juggle my relationship and my professional career? I've been really lucky because Christy is a huge football fan. It's been great because we have so much in common. I think one of the coolest things about our relationship is we like to do everything together. It's not ever like one of us hates being a part of something we're doing. It gets hard for me when we go places and people will pretend like Christy is invisible to get autographs or pictures. Most people are really cool to us though.

17. If I could eat only one meal for a year what would it be? Filet Mignon. I guess I would throw in a potato and maybe some asparagus.

18. Who among my team mates has the most grotesque figure? Fabini. I mean "Furbini". I think he looks like Edgar from Men in Black after the alien stole his body. Like when he was asking for water. Fabini is in an Edgar suit or something. Haha. Sorry Fabs.

19. Is there anything that we as a team did before or after a game to honor Sean Taylor? Honestly there isn't anything we really did special or I guess as a tradition. Sean was a great friend and team mate to everyone on the Skins. I think he was in everyone's thoughts all the time, and I know so many of us were playing for Sean. We will all miss him so much. It's been hard for me because it's hard to believe I won't see him again. It just seems like I will.

20. Any chance I will be supporting DC United this season? I actually just started following our team. I randomly played golf at Raspberry Falls a couple months ago with Jaime Moreno. He was awesome, so I gotta start watching soccer.
